This is the second prototype of the Rainbow Concentrator using a modified linear Fresnel lens.
The patented lens concentrates and spreads the spectrum with a single lens which allows greater efficiency in the solar cells and a lower cost.

This is a picture of the concentrated light created from the lens. We had to cover about 90% of the lens so the camera would not be overloaded and show just white.

This original lens was designed to boil water and focuses to five different spots. The center section is about 1/3 inch wide. The finished lens will focus all the energy to a section that is about 1/5 inch wide.
